Corporate social responsibility

At Fensham Howes we are committed to supporting local community events and activities, and minimising our impact on the environment. Organisations we actively support include:

Carbon Offsetting

Whilst travel is an inevitable part of our business, we aim to mitigate the impact of our activities on the environment through the offsetting scheme run by Forest Carbon.

Forest Carbon has been creating new woodlands in the UK on behalf of companies and individuals wanting to capture the unavoidable carbon dioxide emissions that arise from their activities, and make a wider contribution to local environments and communities at the same time. With expertise in forestry, carbon markets and woodland carbon methodologies, Forest Carbon is the country’s leading developer of voluntary carbon woodland schemes certified under the Woodland Carbon Code.
The Code delivers externally verified projects, certified by UKAS accredited bodies to ISO standards, that offer tangible social and environmental benefits.

Fensham Howes MAS Design Junior Cycling Team

The aim of the Fensham Howes – MAS Design Cycle Team is to create a structure which supports and helps develop some of the UK’s most promising 17 and 18-year-old road racing cyclists in their quest to be professional riders in a few years time.

The UK has a very well-developed pathway for promising young racing cyclists. However, by the time they reach age 17 and 18 there are only 9 places available on the British Cycling Rider Route – which at this level is called The British Cycling Academy.

But there are more than 9 junior riders in the UK that are good enough to be world champions and/or pro riders. The team’s mission is to compliment the work that British Cycling is doing by building an environment that mirrors the Academy set up and provides opportunity to more than just the few who British Cycling are able to support.

We help fund the team which enables it to provide equipment, travel to the Continent for races and to provide coaching support to the riders involved.
