Giles Pidcock

Director and co-founder

Giles Pidcock is a career financial planning professional with twenty years experience of advising families, individuals and trustees.

Educated at Altrincham Grammar School he then attended the University of Leeds where he gained a BA Joint Honours in Economics and Geography.

He started his career as an adviser with Endsleigh Insurance Services providing financial planning advice to graduates and members of the academic community. In 1993 he joined Verdi Bowker & Bowker; a firm specialising in providing advice to doctors, veterinary surgeons, solicitors and other professionals. Here Giles developed a reputation for his ability to explain the most complex financial issues to his clients in clear and understandable terms.

In 1996 Giles co-founded Baxter Fensham Limited, an independent financial advisory firm. Baxter Fensham soon became an industry leader in charging fees for impartial financial planning advice rather than following the more traditional UK commission based approach. During the next nine years Baxter Fensham grew to become a highly respected fee based financial planning firm; a reputation that was further enhanced in 2004 when Giles worked in conjunction with Lew Howes and Keith Macdonald to develop a structured and academically sound investment service to compliment the strategic financial planning already being offered.

Giles is a member of the Institute of Financial Planning and one of only approximately 600 individuals in the UK to hold the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) licence.
